Nationally, the May Day Strong movement (which is comprised of Unions and Allies) has big plans to make this May Day a day of massive action and non-violent resistance for economic and immigration justice.  Different organizations will determine their own forms of participation--some calling for No Work, some engaging educators and students in No School, and others promoting consumer action--No Shopping.  

But no matter how we engage, we can still coordinate and align to support the same demands and amplify the impact by working together.  We hope you (or a designee from your organization) will join us for this important first step in launching what we hope will be a powerful alliance of community, labor, and faith organizations ready to stand up for our immigrant siblings and fight for economic justice in Wisconsin.

You can help build a mass Day of Action against ICE!

On January 23rd, nearly a million people in the Twin Cities participated in a day of “No Work, No School, No Shopping” to resist ICE. Now, unions, faith groups, community organizations, and working people around the U.S. and in Wisconsin are calling for a May 1st Day of Action.

All workers are welcome to a mass meeting on Sat. April 4th, 1-4pm. We’ll decide together what a Day of Mass Action to kick ICE out of WI looks like in Madison, and come up with a plan to make it happen!

A new season of the Queer Liberation March is upon us, and we're kicking it off with an educational event and social to follow!

Learn about the history of queer direct action, and why it may not be inherently radical to be queer (controversial, we know!).

We'll hear from 2 state reps, Ryan Clancy (Milwaukee) and Christian Phelps (Eau Claire), about what kinds of bills are moving through the house and what we can do to tackle anti-trans laws.

We'll also have time for an open mic to hear from you, the lovely queers of Madison, what has been on your mind lately, and that will help us shape the theme and demands for this year's march, taking place on June 13.

Following the 3-5 education session, get to know the organizers and your community!

Cardinal Bar is an accessible, all ages venue and serves non-alcoholic drinks. Parking can be limited in the area, the bar can be reached via the A, B, and C bus lines.
